Onsite Insider #5
Welcome to the new edition of Onsite Insider.
Today, we're looking at how an SaaS business successfully achieved two goals: promoting a new feature and building an email list of high-quality leads.
Yespark: Promotion of a new service
Yespark historically focused on long-term parking rentals with monthly subscriptions. Recently, it expanded to short-term parking rentals, tapping into faster growth opportunities with rental options as short as an hour.
Since the homepage contains the search bar to let visitors search for paring in a specific location, Yespark used an onsite notification to announce the new feature:

Clicking the notification would immediately take visitors to the page displaying available short-term parking spaces (only in France, where this service was initially launched).

Doing so was the right way to go, since Yespark's homepage is the most visited page on the website.
The results?
In just 14 days, 464 visitors read the news, with 257 going to check out the new service:

Getting new users with two campaigns
Unlike many other businesses, Yespark uses not one, not two lead capture campaigns. Thanks to targeting, the business separates messages by using two different formats for new and returning visitors.
The first campaign is a traditional popup, which offers a discount to new users:

If a visitor closed the campaign, left the website without signing up, and then returned, they would see another campaign.
This time, it's a bar:

Using a sticky bar was good idea since returning visitors already browsed Yespark before, so they did not need to have their session interrupted again.
Both campaigns delivered, showing that the selection of the incentive and format was a successful choice.
The popup captured over 3,400 emails...

While the bar added 1,242 more leads:

These two campaigns are a perfect example of why online businesses, both ecommerce stores or SaaS businesses, need to have dedicated campaigns for new and returning visitors (which you could do easily with targeting).
